ORGANIZATION:
Friends of Clifton Park Open Space (Friends) is a grassroots organization of town citizens that was formed in response to a growing awareness of the value of open space to the quality of life of Clifton Park residents, and out of concern for the threatened loss of open space throughout the town.
Founded in 1996, this private group of citizens is dedicated to increasing awareness of the value of open space for all segments of our town, and to balance that value with the need for development in order to promote the fullest potential for Clifton Park.
Today we are a non-profit, 501C3 corporation approved by the IRS, working to identify open space resources, to educate the public about open space options, and to facilitate open space discussions with both governmental and non-government groups and the public.
