Let's work together to keep the "Park" in Clifton Park
About Friends
Friends of Clifton Park Open Space (Friends) is a grassroots organization of private citizens that was formed in response to a growing awareness of the value of open space to the quality of life of Clifton Park residents, and out of concern for the threatened loss of open space throughout the town.
Some History
Founded in 1996, this private group of citizens is dedicated to increasing awareness of the value of open space for all segments of our town, and to balance that value with the need for development in order to promote the fullest potential for Clifton Park.

Stony Creek Reservoir
Stony Creek Reservoir is over 1000 acres of water and woodlands which is owned by the Town of Colonie but is located in the Town of Clifton Park. It is covered with stands of mature hardwoods and many animal and bird habitats. A dam on the south side provides a backup water supply for Colonie. Clifton Park has attempted to purchase this property several times but has been unsuccessful.
